¶ Purpose
The Process Master is used to define and manage standard processes or operations involved in production or service activities. It helps the ERP/MES system to standardize manufacturing or service steps, track each operation stage systematically, enable routing and PBOM creation, support capacity planning and scheduling, control costing and process efficiency, ensure consistent execution on the shop floor. Process Master acts as a foundation for routing, PBOM, work orders, and production tracking.
¶ Prerequisites
- Access rights must be assigned to the user responsible for adding, editing or deleting process details.
- The Department master is required.
- The Subcontractor master is required.
- The Location master is required.
¶ Add Process Details
The Process Master - Mode: New screen allows the user to add specific process details.
Navigation: Main – Menu → Masters → Master -General → Process → Add
- The user can search for particular details based on the Process Code, Process Name and Process Group.
- The Process screen displays process details, such as the Process Code, Process Name and Process Group.
- Click Add to add the new process details, and the screen will appear as shown below.
- The Process Master - Mode: New screen allows the user to add process details such as the Process Code, Process Name and Process Group.
- The user must enter details such as the Process Code and Process Name.
- The user can select the appropriate Process Group from the dropdown list.
- The user can enter the Process Group if it is not available in the dropdown list.
- Click Save, the following message will appear.
- Click Yes, to link the process with the department or subcontractor.
¶ Add Department Details
The Department Process Link Master - Mode: New screen allows the user to add department details for a selected process in the master.
Navigation: Main – Menu → Masters → Master -General → Process → Select Process Code/ Name → Edit → Department Process Link → Add
- Click Add, the following screen will appear.
- The Department Process Link Master - Mode: New screen displays details such as the Process.
- The user must select the appropriate Location and Department from the dropdown list.
- Click Save.
- Click Close, the added details will appear as shown below.
- Click View, to view the added details.
- Click Edit, to edit or delete the added details.
¶ Add Subcontractor Details
The Subcontractor - Process Link Master - Mode: New screen allows the user to add subcontractor details for the selected process in the master.
Navigation: Main – Menu → Masters → Master -General → Process → Select Process Code/ Name → Edit → Subcontractor Process Link → Add
- Click Add, the following screen will appear.
- The Subcontractor - Process Link Master - Mode: New screen displays details such as the Process.
- The user must select the appropriate Subcontractor from the dropdown list.
- Click Save.
- Click Close, the added details will appear as shown below.
- Click View, to view the added details.
- Click Edit, to edit or delete the added details.
¶ Edit or Delete Process Details
The Process Master - Mode: Edit screen allows the user to edit or delete added or existing process details if required.
Navigation: Main – Menu → Masters → Master -General → Process → Select Process Code / Name → Edit
- The user must select the appropriate Process Code or Process Name from the left panel of the screen.
- Once the user selects the process code or name, the process details will appear automatically.
- Click Edit, the following screen will appear.
- The user can edit process details such as the Process Code, Process Name and Process Group.
- Click Save, to save the edited details.
- The user can delete the added or existing details if required.
- Click Delete, the following message will appear.
- Click Yes, to delete and the process details will disappear from the left panel of the screen.
Note: The user can delete the process details only if they are not used in any transactions or masters.
¶ View Details in Tree or Grid
The Grid View and Tree View options allow the user to view process details either in a tabular format or in a hierarchical structure for easier navigation and understanding.
- Click Grid View to view details in tabular format (rows and columns), as shown below.
- Click Tree View to display data hierarchically (parent-child structure), as shown below.
¶ Search Process Details
The Search option allows the user to search for the process details.
- Click Search, and the screen will appear as shown below.
- The user must select the appropriate Filter On and Filter Text from the dropdown list.
- The user must enter the corresponding filter value and press Enter key.
- Once the user presses Enter key, the corresponding list will appear on the left panel of the screen.
¶ Print Process Details
The Print option allows the user to print the added or existing process details.
- Click Print, the following screen will appear.
- Click Filter, to search for details.
- Click Sort, to arrange details in either ascending or descending order.
- Click Settings, to adjust Columns, Fonts, Row Height, Fit To Page, Page Setup and Printer Setup.
- The Set Col Details option allows the user to adjust column width as required.
- The Font option allows the user to edit Font Family, Font Style, Size, Effects and Scripts as required.
- The Auto Row Height option allows the user to adjust row height if required.
- The Fit to Page option allows the user to scale the content to fit the page if required.
- The Printer Setup option allows the user to configure the Printer, Print Range and Copies details if required.
- The Page Setup option allows the user to set the Paper Size, Orientation (Portrait or Landscape) and Margins in Inches (Left, Right, Top and Bottom) details as required.
- Click Export to Excel, to view details in Excel.
- Click Print, to print details.
- Click Print Preview, to view details before printing.
- Click Close, to navigate to the Process screen.
¶ Bulk Update - Update Process Details
The Bulk Update option allows the user to edit existing process details at once.
- Click Bulk Update, and the following screen will appear.
- The user can edit the Process Code, Process Name, and Process Group if required.
- Click Save, and the process code and name will appear on the left panel of the screen.
