The Machine master is used to define and maintain all machines or production equipment used in the manufacturing process. It enables the ERP/MES system to track machine‑wise production activities, support capacity planning and scheduling, monitor machine utilization and downtime, calculate machine‑based production cost, integrate with Process Master and routing, support preventive maintenance planning. The Machine master is essential for accurate production tracking, costing, and operational efficiency.
The Machine Master - Mode: New screen allows the user to add all machine details used during production.
Navigation: Main – Menu → Masters → Master -General → Locations → Department → Machines → Add
The user can search for particular details based on the Location, Machine Code, Machine Name, Active, Commencing Date, Cost, Cost Type, Department, Long Description, Machine Type, Operator Cost, Other Cost, Plan Capacity (%), Power Cost, Power Factor, Power Rating, Production, Profit Centre and Total Cost.
The Machine screen displays the machine details, such as the Mach Code, Mach Name, Long Description, Mach Type, Commencing Date, Location, Department, Power Rating, Power Factor, Active, Production and Plan Capacity (%).
Click Add, to add the new machine details, and the screen will appear as shown below.
The Machines Master- Mode: New screen is divided into two sections as listed below.
Details
Finance
The Details section displays the details such as the Commencing Date (Current Date), Machine Type, Active and Plan Capacity (%).
The user must enter the Mach Code and Mach Name.
The user can enter Long Description, Power Factor and Power Rating.
The user can select the Commencing Date checkbox to start the machine on the current day.
The user can edit the Commencing Date if required.
The user can edit the details such as Mach Type, Commencing Date and Plan Capacity (%).
The user must select the Location and Department from the dropdown list.
The user must select the Production checkbox, to use the machine for production.
The user can deselect the Active checkbox, if the machine is no longer required for use in transactions.
The Finance section allows the user to add details such as the Profit Centre, Operator Cost, Power Cost, Other Cost, Total Cost, Cost per (Hour/KG) and Cost Type (ABC).
The user can select the Profit Centre, Cost per (Hour/KG) and Cost Type (ABC) from the dropdown list.
The user can enter details such as the Operator Cost, Power Cost, Other Cost and Total Cost.
Click Save.
Click Close, and the added machine code and machine name will appear on the left panel of the screen.
The Machine Master - Mode: Edit screen allows the user to edit or delete added or existing machine details if required.
Navigation: Main – Menu → Masters → Master -General → Locations → Storage Warehouse → Select Mach Code / Mach Name → Edit
The user must select the appropriate Mach Code and Mach Name from the left panel of the screen.
Once the user selects the Mach Code or Mach Name, the machine details will appear automatically.
Click Edit, the following screen will appear.
The user can edit machine details such as the Mach Code, Mach Name, Long Description, Mach Type, Commencing Date, Location, Department, Power Rating, Power Factor, Active, Production, Plan Capacity (%), Profit Center, Operator Cost, Power Cost, Other Cost, Total Cost, Cost per and Cost Type (ABC).
Click Save, to save the edited details.
Click Delete, the following message will appear.
Click Yes, the machine details will disappear from the left panel of the screen.
Note: The user can delete the machine details only if they are not used in any transactions or masters.
The Grid View and Tree View options allow the user to view machine details either in a tabular format or in a hierarchical structure for easier navigation and understanding.
Click Grid View to view details in tabular format (rows and columns), as shown below.
Click Tree View to display data hierarchically (parent-child structure), as shown below.
The user can expand or collapse nested items to view relationships or categories.
The Search option allows the user to search for a machine based on the Mach Code, Mach Name, Active, Commencing Date, Long Description, Mach Type, Location, Department, Power Rating, Power Factor, , Production, Plan Capacity (%), Profit Center, Operator Cost, Power Cost, Other Cost, Total Cost, Cost per and Cost Type (ABC).
Click Search, and the screen will appear as shown below.
The user must select the appropriate Location from the dropdown list.
The user must select the appropriate Filter On and Filter Text from the dropdown list.
The user must enter the corresponding filter value and press Enter key.
Once the user presses Enter key, the corresponding list will appear on the left panel of the screen.
The Print option allows the user to print the added or existing machine details.
The user must select the appropriate Machine from the left panel of the screen.
Once the user selects the Machine, the machine details will appear automatically.
Click Print, the following screen will appear.
Click Filter, to search for details.
Click Sort, to arrange details in either ascending or descending order.
Click Settings, to adjust Columns, Fonts, Row Height, Fit To Page, Page Setup and Printer Setup.
The Set Col Details option allows the user to adjust column width as required.
The Font option allows the user to edit Font Family, Font Style, Size, Effects and Scripts as required.
The Auto Row Height option allows the user to adjust row height if required.
The Fit to Page option allows the user to scale the content to fit the page if required.
The Printer Setup option allows the user to configure the Printer, Print Range and Copies details if required.
The Page Setup option allows the user to set the Paper Size, Orientation (Portrait or Landscape) and Margins in Inches (Left, Right, Top and Bottom) details as required.
Click Export to Excel, to view details in Excel.
Click Print, to print details.
Click Print Preview, to view details before printing.
The Bulk Update option allows the user to edit multiple machine details at once.
Click Bulk Update, and the following screen will appear.
The user can edit Profit Centre, Mach Code, Operator Cost, Mach Name, Power Cost, Long Description, Mach Type, Other Cost, Total Cost, Commencing Date, Cost per, Location, Cost Type (ABC), Department, Power Rating, Power Factor, Active, Production and Plan Capacity (%).
